“If your emotional state depends on other people’s behavior and words, your happiness will forever be at the mercy of others.”

~Deepak Chopra

The Three Pillars of SEM

  1. Self-Awareness - SEM involves developing a strong foundation of self-awareness, which includes an understanding of one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, as well as the ability to recognize and manage one's emotions effectively. It also involves a sense of personal responsibility and accountability for one's actions and choices.

  2. Forgiveness & Compassion - We use knowledge, acceptance and proven techniques to help you develop the ability to forgive others for past mistakes or hurts to find peace, cultivate a deep sense of compassion and empathy for oneself and others, and let go of negative emotions and attachments that no longer serve you.

  3. Commitment - Our SEM method involves a commitment to daily mantra meditation, wellness practices, and ongoing learning to promote spiritual growth. To optimize the benefits of this method, one must be willing to look deeply into oneself, have faith in the teachings of the Vedas and seek out support and guidance from a community of like-minded people.

In 2009, Nicoli Rena Sinclair began to study physical yoga and during her more advanced yoga studies, she found herself dealing with a myriad of life challenges (drugs, loss, bad relationships, abuse and more). During such turmoil, Nicoli was called to the teachings of Swami Vivekananda - a book called Jnana Yoga. Reading this book changed her life and offered her a new perspective on life. She used that knowledge (Jnana) to help her discover who she really was and better understand the ways of the world that continuously seemed to let her down.  Later she was introduced to the teachings of Swami Dayananda and emotional maturity. These deeper studies helped Nicoli find peace from life’s unpredictable nature—the micro-aggressions of working in corporate America, loss, and being a part of a social construct and culture that has historically oppressed people. The teachings deeply inspired her to develop a more modern approach to the more ancient Vedic teachings. What came out of her research over the course of 6 years, was the Spiritual Emotional Maturity Method (SEM™). A method that helped Nicoli gain a higher perspective on life and reclaim her power, and one that can help you reclaim yours.
