What Makes Us Different?

Our Community

We offer an inclusive, diverse and intimate safe space. Our teachings and practices are based on Vedic knowledge and are backed by Vedic literature and science. Oneness and unity are at the heart of these Vedic teachings. Although man has often interpreted these teachings wrong, and used them along with other laws and systemic practices to create caste systems, discriminatory practices, and other social constructs that have divided us, none of that ideology is welcomed here. We believe it’s important to honor the richness, and pureness of the true purpose of the teachings by uniting, embracing our cultural differences and healing deep wounds through community and proven spiritual practices. We invite people who are looking to unite, grow spiritually and connect with like-minded people.

Our Philosophy

We are realistic about life, we unveil its challenges and offer a powerful method that can help you truly grow, expand, and see beyond your perception to find lasting joy. We do not sell positivity or overpromise. Positive outcomes come from you, albeit a higher you—beyond your persona. Spiritual growth starts with your desire to know the higher you which is who you really are. Uncovering this higher Self takes self-awareness, forgiveness and a commitment to the daily practice of meditation and sadhana. Our practices will challenge your perception and the ideologies you hold about life and the people in it so you can open your heart and connect with all that is around you.

Our Method

At The Veda Den we base our classes, workshops and trainings on Spiritual Emotional Maturity (SEM)™ to help you grow and achieve freedom in life. SEM is a method based on the teachings of the Vedas. SEM helps you reclaim your power and live a joyful life. It teaches spiritual growth through a deep level of self-awareness, inner peace through acceptance and compassion, and a strong commitment to one's spiritual beliefs or practices. It helps you navigate life's challenges such as fear, loss, racism and discrimination, poor relationships, wrong actions and more to help you achieve emotional stability and a strong sense of purpose and meaning. SEM is embedded, in some form, in all our classes, workshops and trainings and will soon be offered as a healing course and retreat. To learn more, sign up here.

The Three Pillars of SEM

  1. Self-Awareness - SEM involves developing a strong foundation of self-awareness, which includes an understanding of one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, as well as the ability to recognize and manage one's emotions effectively. It also involves a sense of personal responsibility and accountability for one's actions and choices.

  2. Forgiveness & Compassion - We use knowledge, acceptance and proven techniques to help you develop the ability to forgive others for past mistakes or hurts to find peace, cultivate a deep sense of compassion and empathy for oneself and others, and let go of negative emotions and attachments that no longer serve you.

  3. Commitment - Our SEM method involves a commitment to daily mantra meditation, wellness practices, and ongoing learning to promote spiritual growth. To optimize the benefits of this method, one must be willing to look deeply into oneself, have faith in the teachings of the Vedas and seek out support and guidance from a community of like-minded people.

What is Spirituality?

Spirituality to us is a means for discovering your connection to the Divine and achieving spiritual emotional maturity about life. We do not teach a specific religion, we use modern and ancient wisdom to help you connect, feel complete and capable in life. Our teachings however are rooted in meditation, the Upanishads and the Jnana Yoga way of living.

What are the Vedas?

Veda, (Sanskrit: “Knowledge”) is a collection of poems or hymns composed in Sanskrit by Indo-European-speaking peoples who lived in northwest India during the 2nd millennium BCE. The highest teachings of the Vedas are called the Vedanta (the “anta” or end of the Vedas) and are known as the Upanishads.
